Blue Lunch Featuring Job Striles @ BOP STOP

Blue Lunch is excited to be joined by Los Angeles-based singer-guitarist Job Striles for an 8:00 pm show at BOP STOP on Saturday, March 7.
The Cleveland connection for this combination is the late, great, Max Bangwell, former drummer for Cleveland legend Robert Lockwood, Jr. Max moved out to Los Angeles several decades ago and passed away several years ago, but Job Striles was the guitarist in the Max Bangwell Band in Los Angeles. Job presently performs with the Atomic Roots Orchestra. He is a triple threat-singer, T-Bone Walker-style blues guitarist, and clever songwriter. Job will be making his Cleveland debut with Blue Lunch, and his style of blues will mesh exceptionally well with the 8 piece Blue Lunch band, and the 3 piece horn section
The late 1940’s and early 1950’s were a magical time in American musical history, when blues, rhythm & blues, swing and rock & roll were all one thing. Blue Lunch explores that music and makes it their own. From Cleveland, OH, the band features eight virtuoso musicians performing on guitar, piano, upright bass, drums, harp, saxophones, trumpet, and trombone. In addition to their instrumental work, Blue Lunch also boasts vocalists that includesdo-wop style harmonies in their repertoire. Blue Lunch has released eight cds, Recorded Live at Wilberts, Eyes Wide Open, Not Live at the Copa, Big Sound Blues, Sideswiped, Saxophone Shootout II, Blue Lunch Special--30th Anniversary Edition, and "Above the Fold".
