The concert will consist of festive holiday music spanning the ages from traditional tunes to jazz with a special brass only flare. The Forest Hill Brass is an ensemble-in-residence at The Music Settlement with a new unique approach to brass music. Along with traditional brass ensemble musical genres, the Forest Hill Brass also explores a non-traditional approach to standard hymns and gospel tunes with a jazz flavor, with repertoire ranging from Bach to blues to spirituals and jazz. The quartet performs around the city at local churches, schools, nursing homes, and special concerts at The Music Settlement.
