Cleveland Composers Guild Livestream @ BOP STOP

The Cleveland Composers Guild will present a livestream concert of solos and duos composed by its members at the Bop Stop at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21. This concert will be presented in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Guild. To access the stream please visit Bop Stop's Facebook page at showtime. Accessing the stream is free but donations are encouraged and can be made here: https://givebutter.com/ComposersGuild

The Cleveland Composers Guild is an organization of approximately 35 composers from Northeast Ohio. Each season the Guild presents a series of concerts of music composed by its members. The Guild is often involved in collaborations with performance ensembles and organizations in the area. Each year the Guild also presents the project Creativity: Learning through Experience, for which composer members of the Guild compose new pieces for elementary through high-school music students. In this project each composer is paired with a student. The student, the student's teacher, and the composer collaborate throughout the process, which culminates in a concert in the spring. This year, because of the pandemic, the concert will be streamed as a concert/documentary rather than a live concert.

Funding for this anniversary concert is provided by the Ohio Arts Council. Principal funding for the Cleveland Composers Guild is provided by the Bascom Little Fund. Additional funding for the Creativity: Learning through Experience project is provided by Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.
