Soul is a feeling, not a genre! The Admirables are a funky jazz/soul band based out of Northeast, Ohio. Wielding their instruments alone, the raw, unrelenting energy of the Admirables is a force to be reckoned with! Frontman Nathan-Paul Davis engages the crowd with his vocals to get up and dance until they drop. "It's a big soul party and everybody's welcome to join, so come as you are" says Nathan-Paul.
The Admirables began as a pick up soul band providing entertainment for a local soul singer’s birthday party. Nathan-Paul (alto saxophone) lead the group that night and learned he had a gift for getting the crowd pumped and dancing. Originally, there was no intent on continuing the band but people insisted they continue.
The Admirables began with a repertoire mainly of obscure 60’s soul covers but they soon built up an impressive array of original music. Their sound has drawn comparisons to artists such as Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Modern trap sounds, and Miles Davis fusion sound of the 70’s, similarly drawing upon the fiery southern gospel church where the lines between audience and performer becomeblurred.
Nathan-Paul & The Admirables are set to release their first album this summer.
