Jazz-up your Spring with internationally renowned jazz vocalist & recording artist Debbie Gifford as she returns to the BOP STOP to perform an outdoor concert with her All Star Ensemble featuring Dan Maier – piano, Aidan Plank- bass and Sunny Tabler- drums as they perform, jazz standards, originals, R&B, Ballads & much more!

For this event we have fifteen tables generously spaced in our temporary outdoor seating area. Each table is sold for a flat rate of $60 and can accommodate up to four guests. The band will be set up on our existing patio and will be more than 20 feet from guests. The inside of the club will be closed except for restroom use. Outdoor bar service is available and snacks are avaioable to purchase. Feel free to bring your own food. You cannot bring your own alcohol. Mask required. Please order your tickets ahead of time.

Debbie Gifford has been nominated “Jazz Musician of the Year, “Jazz Band of the Year”, and “Vocalist of the Year” in the Annual Free Times Music Awards. Debbie’s worldwide concert performances include: USA, Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Poland, Germany and China and she has shared the stage with jazz greats: Marcus Belgrave, Bobby Watson, Joe Lovano, Sherrie Maricle and Dominick Farinacci. She is the only woman singer to perform with the Birdland Big Band, under the director of Tommy Igoe, at the famous Birdland Jazz Club, NYC . Debbie’s discography includes: “You Taught My Heart to Sing”, “So Many Songs About Love”, Double Live CD set “Open Airs” recorded at the Palace of the King of Majorca, France , "One Day At A Time" - all original music written by songwriting team Debbie Gifford & John Trzcinski. Gifford’s latest CD Release is “Changes” is a compilation of Pop favorites & Jazz standards with a new twist. Dan Maier: Pianist, has an extensive musical history that includes studies at the Berklee School of Music and the New England Conservatory. In New York and Ohio, he has worked with Gary Burton, Clark Terry, Sammy Nestico, Smokey Robinson, Sammy Davis, Leslie Gore, and Marvin Hamlisch, to name just a few. He was a member of Blood Sweat and Tears, and has toured with Philip Glass and Woody Herman. Dan has been a house pianist at Nighttown for many touring artists including: Benny Golson, Eric Alexander, Cheryl Bentine, and Ann Hampton Callaway. He has been a first call musician for touring productions and concerts at Playhouse Square and other venues. He is co-music director at Church of St. Clare in Lyndhurst.

Aidan Plank: Bassist, enjoys performing a diverse range of music throughout Northern Ohio. He studied with bassist and composer David Morgan as well as with Kevin Switalski of the Cleveland Orchestra. Aidan is a graduate of Cleveland State University. Aidan has performed with Dan Wall, Joe Lovano, Judi Silvano, Joe Maneri, Janis Siegel, Frankie Avalon, Tierney Sutton, and many others. Aidan played baroque bass in the premier of Joseph-Nicolas-Pancrace Royer’s Le Pouvoir de l’Amour (composed in 1743) in 2002 at Oberlin College as well as in the world premier of Randall Woolf and Robin Stranahan’s ‘pop-up’ opera Frozen

Community, produced by Real Time Opera in 2013. Along with enjoying playing in the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, Aidan can currently be seen performing explorations of improvisation in duo with guitarist Daniel Lippel. Aidan teaches in the Jazz Studies program at Kent State University, as well as at Cuyahoga Community College’s “Jazz Prep Program”.

Sunny Tabler: Drummer Sunceray “Sunny” Tabler is a Cleveland native. In her early years, Sunny studied with Cleveland legends such as Bob McKee and Jamey Haddad. She participated in the Tri-C Jazz studies program and is an alumni of the Tri-C Jazz All Stars. Sunny attended Oberlin College & Conservatory of Music and she studied under instructors Billy Hart and Paul Samuels. Her love of music is evident in her style of playing and her communication with other artists during performances. Sunny has been an advocate for music education through her volunteer work in local schools and her work on the Board of Open Tone Music.
