BOP STOP
BOP STOP at The Music Settlement is Cleveland's premier listening room: an intimate, acoustically pristine performance venue with sweeping views of Lake Erie.

Maria Jacobs returns to the bop stop with the release of her ninth album, recorded here live on January 9th, 2022. The album is called “Back at the Bop Stop“ and it features Rock Wehrmann on piano, Bryan Thomas on Bass, and Jamey Haddad on drums, who also join her in this performance. Tickets to attend this show in person are $20 each.
This event will also be livestreamed on BOP STOP's Facebook page at showtime. Accessing the stream is free but donations are encouraged and directly support the band. Maria Jacobs is an American jazz vocalist, songwriter, and author, born of Syrian Lebanese and Armenian descent. She is a national recording artist who has charted on both the Groove Jazz and smooth jazz holiday charts. She has performed and recorded with multi platinum, Grammy award winning producer, Tommy Coster, bassist Alphonso Johnson, and Drummer, the late Ndugu chancellor, both of Weather Report. She has also recorded several of her national releases with Cleveland’s own Grammy award winning producer, Pete Tokar.
Maria is the adjunct professor of applied vocal Jazz at Kent state university and also a licensed music educator, who teaches for open tone music, a nonprofit organization providing music instruction to inner Akron and Cleveland schools and YMCA after school music programs.
