BOP STOP at The Music Settlement is Cleveland's premier listening room: an intimate, acoustically pristine performance venue with sweeping views of Lake Erie.
July 20 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Max Schlenk presents The Sunset Suite, a series of compositions relating to his personal experiences and journey since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. He hopes to create a space for audience members to reflect on the hardships experienced over the last few years, as well as provide hope for the future that is to come. Tickets to this event are $15 each. This event will also be livestreamed on BOP STOP's Facebook page at showtime. Accessing the stream is free but donations are encouraged and directly support the band.

Having grown up in the Cleveland area, Max was fortunate enough to study at Shaker Heights High School and work with Ken Leegrand at the Jazz at the Music Settlement program on weekends (where he is now currently employed). A 2021 graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and returning from living in New York City, he hopes to shape the beginning of his career in Cleveland.
His band is a collection of the amazing musicians he’s spent time with at Oberlin, as well as some of the wonderfully gifted people he’s reconnected with in his hometown.
