Personnel:
--------------------
Bandleader Andrew Haug is a pianist from Cincinnati, OH, currently residing in New York City. He has performed throughout the United States and is active in a multitude of creative groups. Andrew has had the honor of performing at the legendary Newport Jazz Festival as well as with notable musicians such as Sara Niemietz, Josiah Wolf (WHY?), John Von Ohlen, Nir Felder, and Fareed Haque. He has also released 2 records with his piano trio, On a Limb. His compositional style has been described by fellow musicians as “honest and thoughtful, beautiful yet energetic, with a hint of mysteriousness and darkness.” Having crafted a sound that reflects a wide range of influences, Andrew is quickly becoming a strong and unique voice in the NYC creative music scene.
Featured artist, bassist, and composer Ben Tiberio has spent his twenties lending a crucial voice to the upper echelons of New York City’s vibrant jazz scene. Ben’s bass playing has been a fixture in the bands of his generation’s biggest torchbearers: Joel Ross, María Grand, Veronica Swift, and Immanuel Wilkins to name a few. He’s also been called upon by acclaimed leaders like Ari Hoenig, Shai Maestro, Ben Wendel, and Aaron Goldberg, and performed alongside an exhaustive list of notable jazz artists including Kenny Barron, Herlin Riley, Gretchen Parlato, Jazzmeia Horn, Will Vinson, Jonathan Blake, Billy Hart, and Terrell Stafford. Ben’s emergence as a formidable bandleader and writer is now established as well, with the release of his debut “Rare Peace” in September 2021.
