Recognized internationally for his unique compositional voice, Chuck’s creative, evocative, and intensely personal compositions are steeped in the jazz tradition but draw liberally and playfully from an array of additional influences - classical, American folk/roots music, Latin, funk, and more!

ReSurgence (as the name implies) is largely culled from his acclaimed 19-piece Jazz Surge family. The incredibly accomplished personnel (all Grammy nominees and leaders in their own right) includes:

Debuting in the fall of 2019 with concerts in Central FL and a featured virtual performance on JEN’s (Jazz Educators Network) International Conference, ReSurgence’s plans were interrupted for a bit due to Covid. However, the band recently completed recording of their first album project (release slated for early 2024) and are looking forward to offering a sneak preview of some of this new material along some of the very best of the Jazz Surge . . . . only in small group form!
