Join us for a double-header night of music! Celebrate the next generation of jazz musicians with DC's GDS Jazz and Creative Music Ensemble followed by a tribute to the music of Lee Konitz and Ted Brown led by saxophonist Brad Linde.
Tickets for tonight's performance are $15 each. This event will also be livestreamed on BOP STOP's YouTube page at showtime. Accessing the stream is free but donations are encouraged and directly support the band. GDS Jazz and Creative Music Ensemble

The GDS Jazz and Creative Music program explores jazz and improvised music at Georgetown Day School in Washington DC. Concerts have focused on the music of the greatest composers including Wayne Shorter, Charles Mingus, Sun Ra, among others, and student-led bands have performed annually at the JENerations Jazz Festival, Elon Jazz Festival, Carolina Jazz Festival, Mason Jazz Festival, Charles Mingus Festival, Berklee College of Music High School Festival, and more. GDS's own festival and residency programs have brought to campus Ran Blake, Sara Serpa, Fay Victor, Wadada Leo Smith, Andrew Cyrille, Jen Shyu, Nadje Noordhuis, Allison Miller, Wendy Eisenberg, Matt Wilson, and other clinicians throughout the school year.
Brad Linde's Figure and Spirit: Celebrating Lee Konitz and Ted Brown
Brad Linde delivers post-cool freebop in celebration of his mentors Lee Konitz and Ted Brown. Hailed as "the capital city's contemporary cool king" (Giovanni Russonello, Capitalbop), Brad Linde is a saxophonist, educator, bandleader, and impresario in the Washington DC metro area. He is the director of Jazz and Creative Music at Georgetown Day School and founder of the Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra.
