Thomas Schinabeck is a saxophonist, composer, and poet from Cleveland, Ohio. He creates music rooted in the tradition of Black American Music and is influenced by music from around the world, as well as the sounds of everyday life. Thomas hopes to use music to bring people together in spaces filled with love and openness, so that we can love ourselves, each other, and our planet more deeply.
Thomas has had the opportunity to share the stage with world-class artists such as Warren Wolf, Terence Blanchard, Sean Jones, Fran Vielma, Dominick Farinacci and Patrick Bartley. Thomas has performed with his own band, playing his compositions, throughout Ohio at the Tri-C Jazz Festival, Bopstop and BluJazz+, as well as in Baltimore, Maryland at An Die Musik and the Keystone Korner. He is currently studying at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore.
