Circle up and drum with master drummer Linda Thomas Jones, aka Mama Fasi.
Join Mama Fasi as she teaches rhythms you can play on a box drum, bucket drum, or a traditional hand drum. If you have an instrument, bring it with you! If not, just bring yourself and join in the fun.
Presented by our Creative Aging Department, this workshop is open to individuals ages 55+. No experience necessary and all materials will be provided.
This program is free of charge, but donations are welcome! All donations will support the mission of The Music Settlement and the talented team who coordinates these events.

ABOUT LINDA THOMAS JONES (MAMA FASI)
Linda Thomas Jones is considered one of the founding mothers of female African drumming in the United States. She began her career in drumming at the age of 18 as a dance major at Case Western Reserve University. She studied African drumming both in Ghana and in the U.S. She is committed to helping students explore their artistic abilities as well as providing them with the necessary tools to assist them in becoming better human beings.
