BOP STOP at The Music Settlement is Cleveland's premier listening room: an intimate, acoustically pristine performance venue with sweeping views of Lake Erie.

Vocalist, Debbie Darling, has put together a talented musical ensemble for her return to The BOP STOP. Tickets to attend this show in person are $20 each.
This event will also be livestreamed on BOP STOP's Youtube Channel at showtime. Accessing the stream is free but donations are encouraged and directly support the band.
Debbie Darling is a singer/songwriter who has performed a wide range of musical styles. She studied voice under David Blair McCloskey, (vocal coach for the Metropolitan Opera). As a member of Little Flags Theater Company, she worked closely with Obie Award winner Maxine Klein. She’s provided her vocal talents for small bands, large orchestras and commercial voice overs. She's sung with Stanley Turrentine, The Peter Duchin Band, The Tommy Dorsey Band, and more. She was the national spokesperson for Catherine’s Plus Sizes and has been on radio and TV across the country including The Richard Simmons Show, Hard Copy and The Oprah Winfrey Show. She has authored five books and has sung up and down the Eastern sea coast. She also delivers informative musical talks on a variety of topics from The Great American Songbook, to Frank Sinatra, to The Black Women of Jazz to The Women of the British Invasion and more. Dan Maier (piano) who attended Berklee School and New England Conservatory and studied jazz piano with Lennie Tristano, Jaki Byard, Ran Blake, and classical piano with Andreus Kuprevicius, George Haddad, and Margaret “Madame” Chaloff.
He has worked with Benny Carter, Clark Terry, Louis Bellson, Roy Hargrove, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, Sammy Davis, Marvin Hamlisch, Jerry Vale, Al Martino, the Mills Brothers, Lesley Gore, Sammy Kaye, Pat Boone, Bobby Rydell, and Robert Lockwood Jr. to name just a few.
In New York, Dan was a member of Blood, Sweat, and Tears with David Clayton-Thomas, and played and toured with Philip Glass and Woody Herman. He has leant his talent to numerous jazz groups.
He is currently a member of the North Coast Jazz Collective, True North Jazz Ensemble, and leads his own trio/groups, as well as being a sideman in many local venues. He has been a steady member of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, and has played piano/keyboard for many local theaters and touring productions at Playhouse Square.
Marc Paige (Sax and Clarinet) has been playing saxophone and clarinet for over 65 years. He has performed with many rock, blues, jazz, and classical groups throughout Northeast Ohio. He is a member of the group Backtraxx, The Dan Zola Orchestra, Swing Time Big Band, and the musical groups Sinatra Selects, Venner Clarinet Quintet, and Just Jazz.
Jeff Slater (Bass) is one of the most sought after Bassists
and Music Educators in North-East Ohio. He doubles on Electric and upright basses but is perhaps best known for his work on the six-string fretless bass.
Jeff started out as a French Horn player in local youth orchestras and further honed his skill in regional musical theater, he continued his education at Baldwin-Wallace University, studying Music Theory and Performance. It was during this period that he began studying the bass intensively.
Jeff also did post-graduate work in Music Theory, Ear Training, Music Education, Conducting, and Bass Performance at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and Truman State University.
N. Glenn Davis (Drums) is a drummer, recording artist, composer, and educator who currently leads his own jazz quartet and quintet. Glenn’s exciting ensembles feature a unique blend of jazz styles and engaging original compositions and arrangements.
Glenn holds a Bachelors of Music degree from The Berklee College of Music and has a Masters of Music Education from The University of Akron. Glenn has performed with many notable musicians such as, Mike Stern, Phil Woods, Benny Golson, Mundell Lowe, Houston Person, Ken Peplowski, Harry Allen, Eric Alexander, Harold Mabern, Mark Soskin and others.
Debbie will be joined by a few fabulous Cleveland vocalists in cameo appearances.
