Carol Leslie brings her Scottish humor, and her international vocal jazz pipes to the Bop Stop on Saturday 9th November at 7pm. She is Ohio’s Celtic import, singing beautiful songs from the Great American Songbook, as well as some R & B, pop hits, and blues. In addition to the musicians in her band, Carol will be joined on a few tunes by vocalist Erny Nuñez.
Tickets to attend in person are $20 each. This event will also be livestreamed on BOP STOP's Youtube Channel at showtime. Accessing the stream is free but donations are encouraged and directly support the band.

Carol Leslie's album, “Carol Leslie – Live At The Bop Stop!” is available from cdbaby.com. She has performed throughout the UK, Bermuda, Norway, Australia and Ohio. BBC TV chose her to represent Scotland out of 2500 auditionees in their “Rising Stars” live talent program, broadcast throughout the UK and Europe. She then appeared on BBC Radio Scotland in their “Debut” series, prior to crossing the Pond to expand her horizons in America. Many have said she has “blue-eyed soul.” Come to the Bop Stop to experience her talent as she pays homage to Ella, Sarah, Billie, June, and so many more!
Ed Ridley II, pianist, composer, arranger, recording artist, degreed musician and professor, will join Carol to hit the ivories and add his inimitable flair to beautiful ballads and bebop jazz. He is an award-winning creator, who is often found supporting voice, eg Broadway musicals, church, etc. He and Carol have worked together for several years, and their combination of talents is a beautiful blend.
Dan Bruce, transplant to Ohio after spending a decade as a member of Chicago’s jazz community, and a regular at the Bop Stop, is active throughout the Midwest and nationally as a performer, recording artist, composer and educator. He has performed on more than twenty albums as a sideman and has released his second album. As a performer and recording artist, Bruce has had the opportunity to work with several eminent musicians, including Seamus Blake, Ali Jackson, Dan Wall, Lynn Seaton, and The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. "...without a doubt one of the finest of today's young jazz guitarists. He plays with great creativity, soul, and intelligence." -William Piburn, Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine.
Jim Cirillo, saxophonist, consultant, investor, tech fan and host of JimJim’s Reinvention Revolution podcast. He has worked with big bands, acoustic jazz combos, electric/rock groups, and tribute bands, giving him a diverse and wide repertoire! He has developed a love of world travel, such as Thailand, Australia, Cuba and the Philippines, where he explores their cultures and shares musical experiences. He has played with and for some dynamic players, including Stevie Wonder.
Tim Lekan, upright bassist, composer, producer, educator, recording artist, has spent his time between New Jersey, New York and Ohio, where he has performed with the top brass of jazz. As a session musician, he is featured in dozens of recordings and has recorded his own compositions along the way. He graces the stage regularly at the Bop Stop, and Carol revels in his sensitivity to voice, his creative support, and professionalism. Tim makes the bass sing!
Ricky Exton, drummer, arranger, composer, recording artist, has been active in the music community for close to 3 decades. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass., where he went on to perform with Lou Rawls, Wynton Marsalis, Rufus Reid, and international guitar virtuoso, Neil Zaza. He is a regular at the Bop Stop and has become a go-to session musician for multiple recording artists in Ohio. His creativity becomes clear the second he starts playing, as well as his sensitivity to voice.
Erny Nuñez is a young man who will grace the stage to share a cameo of his wonderful vocal talent. He has been called a “young Sinatra.” From Ohio, he is undoubtedly a rising star! A TV performer, he starred on Fox TV’s “Alter Ego.”
