Nate Yingling is an upcoming pianist, bassist and composer located in Cleveland, Ohio. Now debuting himself for the first time as a bandleader, His sound fuses various modalities of Black American music including Jazz, Contemporary, Neo soul, R&B and Funk.

Nate was drawn to the piano from a young age when he wanted to be like his grandmother who played hymns in church services. His mother enrolled him in piano lessons from a young age and from there he took a great liking to the instrument. His music taste was later informed by his father who he shared an affinity for collecting vinyl records with, showed him a great variety of music ranging from Led Zeppelin live at MSG to Kind of blue by Miles Davis.

Nate’s ambitions are high to share as much music with the world as he can, and to uplift as many people as he can through his sound. As the great John Coltrane once said, “My music is the spiritual expression of what I am — my faith, my knowledge, my being...When you begin to see the possibilities of music, you desire to do something really good for people, to help humanity free itself from its hangups...I want to speak to their souls.”

Andru Dennis is a pianist and keyboardist from North Canton based in Akron Ohio. Blending elements of jazz, gospel, and neo-soul, Andru brings a unique understanding of harmony and rhythm to his performances. Andru's approach to music has allowed him to work in a wide variety of musical genres and settings, ranging from Jazz and Blues to Rock, R&B, Hip Hop, Rap, Electronic and Folk.

Andru’s passion for music started at a young age, growing up surrounded by the sounds of gospel and soul music and eventually discovering jazz in high school. In the years following his graduation from the Cuyahoga Community College jazz program and the University of Hartford's Hartt School of Music in 2017, Andru has honed his craft through live performance experience by supporting a large number of different local bands and artists and travelling throughout the midwest and onward. Now he is proud to bring his own ensemble to you for the first time in NEO, featuring bassist Smokeface and drummer Gabe Jones.

Andru infuses each show with rich textures, lush harmony, and an undeniable sense of musicality. The addition of the dynamic and powerful sound of Smokeface on bass and the creative intensity of Gabe Jones provides a unique and exciting experience that can both make you want to get up and dance or close your eyes to savor the moment.

When he’s not on stage, Andru also spends time teaching and mentoring the next generation of musicians, sharing his love for the craft with aspiring artists.
