George DeLancey, a native of Cambridge, OH, and a student of such prestigious programs as the Columbus Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Michigan State University Jazz Studies Program, where he studied under Rodney Whitaker. He toured nationally and internationally with the Larry Fuller Trio from 2017 to 2019, and has performed as a sideman with bandleaders including Wessell Anderson, Peter Bernstein, Bobby Broom, Tia Fuller, Philip and Winard Harper, Christian Howes, Willie Jones III, Wynton Marsalis, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Tomoko Omura, Johnny O'Neal, Houston Person, Russell Malone, Ben Paterson, Jeremy Pelt, Bria Skonberg, as well as many others in New York and throughout the United States. He is active nationally as a bandleader and educator, and has worked with programs including Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Jazz for Young People, Christian Howes’ Creative Strings Workshop, Columbus Jazz Arts Group, and Keith Hall's Summer Drum Intensive. He is also the director of the Midwestern arts initiative Appalachian Muse, and owner and operator of Sunrise Music Center in Zanesville, Ohio.
Chicago based multi-instrumentalist Miles Franklin Smith has performed alongside many local and nationally renowned artists, appearing both live and on television.
Jake Smith is an up-and-coming saxophonist and composer based in the central Ohio area. He is an active sideman and can be seen regularly with groups like Parallel Structures, Waves Colectivo, The Sextellions, Cowtown Colossus, the Ben Maloney Quartet, The Flavortown Saxophone Quartet and the Rick Brunetto Big Band. In addition, Jake is also a bandleader and leads his own quintet: The Jake Smith Quintet.
Saxophonist, composer, arranger, bandleader Robert Dove is a native of Columbus, OH. A graduate of the Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program, he has performed all over the globe including venues North America and Europe and is a veteran of the San Diego and Los Angeles Scene. Rob currently works and educates with multiple projects around the US includes but not limited to the Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra, ZC Big Band, Jazz Arts Group of Columbus and his own group, the Robert Dove Quintet.
Paul Strawser is a pianist based in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Paul studied with Mark Flugge and Dave Powers and graduated from the Ohio State University with a BA in Music in 2017. Since then, he has become an in-demand musician and educator in central Ohio. Follow Paul on Instagram @paulstrawser to keep up with his performance schedule.
Andrew Theiss is a drummer from Cincinnati Ohio. He attends Ohio State University, and is a drummer in the University Jazz Ensemble. He has performed with local and national acts such as Jocelyn Gould, and Pete Mills.
