The event is a fundraiser for The Gathering Place, a cancer support center with locations in Beachwood and Westlake. The Gathering Place provides free programs & services for individuals and families coping with a cancer diagnosis. To find out more, visit www.touchedbycancer.org.
There will also be a raffle with over 150 great prizes from local Cleveland businesses. All proceeds also benefit The Gathering Place. Items include over 25 gift cards from local restaurants, music from local bands, gift certificates from local businesses, Cleveland sports memorabilia, a guitar, and more!
There will be two MC’s this year - musician Charlie Wiener and Casey Calvetta from Calvetta Brothers Floor Show.
The event was started in 2008 when Love Muffin label owner Adam Rich wanted to do his own version of Undercurrents, the popular yearly music showcase in the 80’s and 90’s. The Gathering Place became involved in 2012 when Adam wanted to reach out to a cancer charity after the passing of his cousin from cancer. He got sponsors and added a nightly raffle which several local businesses donated prizes to. Over the years, bands also started donating their pay. In 2017, it became full blown benefit concert. The raffle itself has grown dramatically, from a dozen items initially to a record high of 175 items in 2024.
The 2025 lineup includes Saints, Flowers Love Being Kurt, Taylor Lamborn, Mallory SanMarco and Bill DeGidio.
