Anthony Bruno’s saxophone is a force of nature: electrifying and full of raw emotion. His live band, a powerhouse blend of jazz, R&B, and indie rock, fuels a high-energy, genre-bending performance. Bruno’s sax is soulful yet fiery in his improvisations, creating a dynamic conversation with the band. Together, they craft a captivating, transcendent experience, with tight grooves and a commanding presence that pulls audiences into the intensity and freedom of live music at its finest - beyond genre.
We will be showcasing music from the Blue Velvet and Cefalù records as well as performing a couple fresh arrangements of Holiday classics.

Anthony Bruno is a genre-bending saxophonist and one of Chicago's most sought-after musicians. With an impressive global performance history, he has shared the stage with legends like Wynton Marsalis, The Temptations, Bobby Watson, and Buddy Guy and featured as a saxophonist in movies like Public Enemies and The Express. Since 2020, Bruno has forged a successful path as a solo artist, blending jazz with pop, rock, and R&B to create deeply soulful, innovative music.
With 5 albums and nearly 4 million Spotify streams, his latest release, Blue Velvet, channels groove and mood into a vibrant contemporary jazz soundscape. Theron Brown, born in Zanesville, Ohio, emerged from a musical family rooted in the vibrant rhythms of church. Discovering his love for music under the guidance of his pastor father and the organ melodies at Greater Apostolic Church of Christ, Theron began his musical journey with drums, quickly followed by the piano and viola. His passion for jazz was ignited by the genius of Thelonious Monk, leading Theron to pursue jazz studies at the University of Akron.
Renowned for his versatile performances, Theron has shared stages with celebrated artists across various genres, from The Cleveland Orchestra to Snarky Puppy. His global presence, from the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. to the Tokyo Kokusai Forum Hall in Japan, speaks to his expansive influence.
Kevin Martinez, a native of Northampton Ohio, grew up in a home filled with music thanks to his father Chuck, a blues/rock Guitarist in the NEO music scene since the late 70s. He attended Woodridge High School, there receiving his introduction to Jazz and Orchestral music thanks to several amazing music teachers.
In 2001 Kevin moved to Chicago, where he earned a BA in Music Performance from Columbia College Chicago (2005) and a Master’s of Music Composition from DePaul University(2007). He spent the entirety of his time there immersed in that city’s unique jazz scene but also branched out, touring nationally with the Chicago Afrobeat Project. Since returning to Northeast Ohio in 2010 Kevin has recorded with Chris Coles, The Speedbumps, Roger Hoover, and Honeybucket, among others. He has also become a mainstay in the NEO Jazz scene performing with his original group Reclamation Band, as well as a sideman for many other acts. In addition to performing Kevin is also the orchestrator for the Canton Symphony Orchestra's Divergent Sounds and Pops series.
Drummer Noah Sherman is an Alumni from Oberlin conservatory, studying under the great Billy Hart and Weedie Braimah. He performs music from the Black American musical tradition, Malinke and Bamana traditions and studied classical music from Cuba. He now has gained experience in performing with Gary Bartz Quartet, Djapo Cultural Arts, along with many other groups including his own ensemble “Noah’s Ark Assembly”
