BOP STOP
BOP STOP at The Music Settlement is Cleveland's premier listening room: an intimate, acoustically pristine performance venue with sweeping views of Lake Erie.
May 17 from 7:00pm - 9:30pm
Our music is written to both evoke a vast array of powerful emotions in the listener and to tell a unique story. Hear two dragons do battle in “Ember and Rain;” escape from a haunted house in “Fast Approaching Midnight;” mourn the tragedy of loss and the beauty of rebirth and hope in “Newsong (The Heartwood).” Whatever you look for in your music, you will find it here.
Tickets for tonight are $25 each (a $2 per ticket processing fee will be added to your purchase).
Featuring:
Dan Montgomery (Bass/Compositions)
Sam Priven (Alto Sax)
Neil Carson (Tenor Sax)
Evan Main (Piano)
Evan Hyde (Drums)
This event will also be livestreamed on BOP STOP's Youtube Channel at showtime. Accessing the stream is free but donations are encouraged and directly support the band.
------------------
The Dan Montgomery Quintet is an NYC-Chicago based jazz group of five close friends who have been making music together for nearly a decade. The band features Sam Priven on alto saxophone, Neil Carson on tenor saxophone, Evan Main on piano, Evan Hyde on drums and Dan Montgomery on upright and electric bass. The group formed at the University of Miami Frost School of Music in 2016, when they came together to record their first record of Dan’s original music, “Storyteller.” Since then, they have toured in South Florida, the Midwest, the west coast and New York State, held three weeklong residencies at the Black Cat Jazz Club in San Francisco, CA, and released two more albums: “Emotional Machines: Live in San Francisco” and “Fly.”
