Schlenk Zappa: Celebrating 60 Years of Frank @ BOP STOP

From the release of Freak Out! in 1966 to his death in 1993, Frank Zappa made an indelible mark on music and culture by blending rock and roll, rhythm and blues, jazz, classical music, and satire into a boundary-pushing expression all his own. His unique style has been delighting audiences and influencing artists worldwide ever since. Schlenk Zappa pays tribute to this legacy by showcasing a diverse array of material across Zappa’s 62-album catalog, including hits, fan favorites, deep cuts, and alternate arrangements that will be sure to delight both the neophyte and the hardcore fan.

Schlenk Zappa was founded as a passion project in 2018 by Jeremy McCabe and Max Schlenk during their time at Oberlin Conservatory. Now making its Cleveland debut, the project returns with a new band made up of a host of Northeast Ohio’s premier jazz, R&B, rock, and classical musicians.
