Dancing with Bach: A Full-Day Baroque Strings Workshop
Presented by Les Délices, Cleveland’s premiere Baroque chamber ensemble
November 15 from 9:00am - 4:30pm
Curious about baroque string playing but don't know where to start?
Participants can try out baroque bows, explore baroque string techniques, experiment with ornamentation, and develop their understanding of dance forms in the music of J.S. Bach in this day-long workshop focused on musical selections from Bach's Orchestral Suite no. 3 in D major.
This day includes a faculty performance, group classes on characteristic styles and techniques, mini-lessons, and full-ensemble playing sessions that culminate in a public performance and reception for students and families.
Advanced registration is required as there is limited capacity for this workshop.
