What happens when an extraordinary cabaret singer gets together with a brilliant, witty pianist/arranger in December? The result is a one-of-a-kind evening not to be missed. Cindy Smith and Marge Adler have re-imagined cabaret for the holiday season and gathered a stocking full of songs from pop, Broadway, jazz, classical, and of course, plenty of Christmas favorites. From classics like the sentimental I’ll Be Home for Christmas and swingin' The Man With the Bag, to your soon-to-be new holiday favorite What Good is Being Cranky and Just in Time for Christmas, you are guaranteed to have a grand evening. Join us for a memorable evening of mistletoe and mischief.

Tickets for tonight are $25 each (a $3 per ticket processing fee will be added to your purchase).

Featuring:

Marge Adler, keyboard
Don T. Day, bass
Holbrook Riles III, drums

This event will also be livestreamed on BOP STOP's Youtube Channel at showtime. Accessing the stream is free but donations are encouraged and directly support the band.

Marge Adler, pianist/arranger/music director has been praised as “a treasure with at least three hands.” From Zurich to Toronto, from West Hollywood, CA, to NYC’s Birdland, Marge as cabaret artist has captivated audiences with her signature command of the keyboard, innovative and eclectic approach, collaborative skill, stage presence and wit.
Noted collaborators have included Broadway’s DEE HOTY (City of Angels), ERIC STERN (Most Happy Fella), JILL HAYMAN (Beauty and the Beast), and PHILLIP BOYKIN (the Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess; Hadestown). Phillip and Marge as a duo were winners in the American Traditions Song Competition.
Noted opera conductor ANTON COPPOLA wrote that “Marge rises from the fold as an exceptional musician whose creativity and versatility are remarkable.”
Marge’s production of Sweeney Todd won the Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical Direction. She has served as keyboardist/conductor for hundreds of musical theatre and cabaret productions, and has become known to Cleveland audiences with frequent appearances on local radio programs.
She served as Organist for the (then) CLEVELAND INDIANS’ final season at the late Municipal Stadium. There were days when she literally changed hats on I-71 to become Harpsichordist for Bach Festival at Baldwin-Wallace University. (And how many players can say that?)

Don T Day is a professional musician with more than three decades of experience as a performer on upright and electric bass, as well as an arranger and orchestrator. He has also taught music for over 20 years, working with students from middle school through college. Beyond music, Don is a full time Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor, balancing a lifelong dedication to music with a passion for aviation.
