BOP STOP at The Music Settlement is Cleveland's premier listening room: an intimate, acoustically pristine performance venue with sweeping views of Lake Erie.

In partnership with the renowned Cleveland Pops Orchestra, this ensemble nurtures and trains young musicians to reach their full artistic potential.
Under the baton of Carl Topilow, students will explore the music of Broadway, Hollywood, jazz, and light classics. Each semester will culminate in a performance for friends and family. Students will also have unique opportunities to play alongside the Cleveland Pops Orchestra.
Instrumentation: Strings, winds, brass, percussion

Currently in his 25th year as founding conductor of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Carl Topilow has seen the orchestra become one of Cleveland’s most exciting and vital performing arts ensembles, presenting the best of symphonic pops music to enthusiastic and passionate audiences.
Topilow has appeared as guest conductor with over 125 orchestras in 37 states and 12 foreign countries. He also holds conducting posts at the National Repertory Orchestra and with the Firelands Symphony. After 37 years as head of the orchestra program at the Cleveland Institute of Music, he was named Faculty Emeritus in 2018.
