Introduction to Immersive Musicianship

Ages: 6 - 9
Session Length: 15 weeks
Skill Level: Beginner

introduction-to-immersive-musicianship

In our Immersive Musicianship Rhythmic-Solfège program, children build a strong musical foundation through joyful movement, creative exploration, and hands-on learning. Using singing, movement games, props, note-reading, and improvisation, students develop essential musical skills while collaborating with their classmates. Through this dynamic approach, children will strengthen their ear, improve their sense of rhythm, enhance their ensemble skills, and deepen their understanding of musical expression and interpretation.

The full Rhythmic-Solfège sequence is made up of five progressive levels, designed to provide a comprehensive and well-rounded music education. We are currently offering an introduction to level I. A metallophone is required for class activities and will be provided at no additional cost.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement. Students will be barefoot during class, so please avoid wearing tights as they are more difficult to manage.

If this is your first enrollment of the school year in the Center for Music (September – June), a non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of enrollment ($35 for a single registrant, with a cap of $50 per family).
