Playing the piano is a foundational skill that is highly recommended for those looking to pursue advanced musical training. If you are passionate about music, considering a career, or want to step up your game, this is the place to start!

In collaboration with Piano Cleveland, this ten-week course will teach adults the basics of keyboard technique while increasing skills in notation, theory, and musical creativity. Topics will include finger technique, reading notation on the grand staff, crossover fingering, scales, and key signatures. This is a great opportunity for those that love music to learn more about how it works in some of your favorite styles.

This course is recommended for students who have some familiarity with music and able to read at least some music on the grand staff.

Students who do not have access to a piano or keyboard are able to borrow a digital keyboard for free from Piano Cleveland to use while enrolled in this course.

This course will not be offered for Spring 2024.
