Bop Stop
BOP STOP at The Music Settlement is Cleveland's premier listening room: an intimate, acoustically pristine performance venue with sweeping views of Lake Erie.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continually evolves, our COVID-19 Safety Task Force, led by members of our Board of Directors, continually evaluates our policies. When updates are made, they are published below. Be sure to check back for the latest information.
We continue to follow ODJFS and CDC regulations and guidance.

CENTER for MUSIC no longer requires face masks or proof of vaccination for ensembles, bands, orchestras, or dance, but strongly encourages masking for all group programs. (Specific groups may have different requirements -- see course descriptions for details.) Face masks and proof of vaccination are still required for all voice lessons and vocal ensembles. Proof of vaccination is required for all indoor flute lessons and all flute ensembles. Click here to read the full policy.
CENTER for MUSIC no longer requires face masks for private instrumental lessons, but strongly encourages them. Proof of vaccination is no longer required for participation in summer camps.
BOP STOP As of 4/1/22 BOP STOP no longer requires all guests, staff, and performers to show proof of vaccination or produce a negative test result within 72 hours of entering to be admitted into the venue. Masks are required to be worn by staff members and are highly encouraged for guests. Masks are available at the door for no cost. BOP STOP installed a UV air purifier on its HVAC system and the facility is electrostatically cleaned multiple times per week.
CENTER FOR MUSIC has amended its COVID-19 policy to include a special accommodation to its recent update.
CENTER FOR MUSIC is requiring all faculty, students, and visitors (e.g., parents, guardians, guests, siblings) to wear a face mask at all times while on TMS property. This applies to everyone ages 2 and older, regardless of instrument. Wind and brass players must wear a mask with a mouth slit.
CENTER FOR MUSIC is also requiring proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for all in-person ensembles, bands, orchestras, and vocal programs -- including private voice lessons. This applies to all students ages 5 and up. Students must present their proof to the Enrollment & Customer Service office during regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm), or email a copy of their card to ECS@TheMusicSettlement.org.
